Do "Nice/Good" Girls and Guys finish last?

some people see kindness as some sort of weakness, you can be nice, but never be weak.

Yes.

It's not a competition. It's really not.

I know how to finish last.

it is like my horse and me.

at the end of the movie, when I stand near my horse, and the horse look at me. my horse just stare in my eyes, and shake his head and walking away from into the sunset. I standing there in the desert, with no girl or no horse. the movie 's end.

then I find out that horse played my horse in the movie got better reviews than me.

Nice guys finish last in d***head competitions.

Depends on your definition of "Last"

And does it really matter.

In my 'not-so-humble' opinion, that's the truth - more often than not ---- in day to day living etc.

Back in 2008, our own HiImDan said it best: I saw a movie called "Ferris Beuller's Day Off" with one line that's so true: "It's hard to respect someone who will lick your boot". (referring to a "nice guy" )

Those who seem as if they 'would' lick your boot, or 'as if' they are always hovering, and mostly just 'wanna' help ---- often get treated this way by others:
a) love/hate relationship
b) passive participation in the relationship - why bother?
c) taken advantage of, walked all over, used ---- until the 'sh*t hits the fan'. As 'these people' look back on their lives, they realize those 'weak' people were the ones who had their backs after all.

Too little, too late maybe?

Or, some may blame nice/good guys or girls for messing up their lives by enabling them so much with all their kindness and love and 'no judging' ---- rather then expect and set examples for them of the right ways to be a productive, accountable, and responsible member of today's society.

At least, this is one way of looking at things.

For that matter --- does it really matter ... if it matters? or not?

It does for some, for the moment in any given time or moment/situation.

For some, making a decision to be more/less kind in a more/less frequent fashion can be 'life-changing'. lol

Just because you say you're nice doesn't mean you actually are. I think this saying came from Lots of a*****es think they will get something if they go through the motions, but since others could tell they were insincere they didn't get very far.

Nothing ever seems to go right for me. Maybe I was an a*****e in a previous life and I'm getting punished for stuff back then I don't remember. Who knows? All I know is that I wish s*** was going better in my life.

You're pretty good at overwatch, if i remember right.

And if you're talking about relationships, dont feel bad 100% of my relationships have failed, and im not even that nice of a guy. Most relationships fail.

Wasn't there an actual study done on this 'nice guy finish last' thing?
Im pretty sure there was and it showed that girls preferred guy who looked like a "nice guys" when they're ovulating and all the rest of the time they preferred guys who had more of a "bad boy" image.

Also i prefer the bad girl look, even when im ovulating.
