Why is it deemed racist to call blacks black but not whites white?

I was just stating what my eyes see in reference to color on a person.

I see brown, peach, yellowish, and pale...Here in America anyways...

SOME Africans (because of the sun) are extremely coal black. I would also like to state, I am not starting a debate about racism or some s***. LOL...As for me being the color "white" I am not, more so peach. Sigh, does anyone understand what I am trying to say?

We get the same sort of prejudiced b/s here in Oz, yet the simplest effort to verify such ridiculous claims readily dis-proves them.
Given the fact that such beliefs can only be maintained by NOT finding out for yourself, NOT gathering FACTS and thinking logically, there's a very good chance that people half-way around the planet DO know more about Ireland than the above poster, despite his presence there!

unfortunately this is a problem that is unsolvable, as context or rather percieved context is a massive factor, at my university i live on a corridor with a sudanese guy, and an indian guy, and every time someone tries to "pussy-foot" around ethnicity, these guys just say "say black!" but others may not be this considerate, or may take offense from this so every situation has to be treated individually, I will call someone black, but only if i know they are ok with this, i wish everyone was as lax about race as me and my friends, but i know this will never be the case!!

Where in britain australia or america do you get 204e or the equivalent in a week for job seekers allowance ? Where do african immigrants get bought houses or cars in your countries? Or free health care? Go onto any irish website its .ie at the end of the web address or go on youtube and ask any Irish person how foreigners get treated here!
