Why is it deemed racist to call blacks black but not whites white?

depending on who the person is, they find different words racist. i usually just call black people black, i know i'm not racist because i really don't give a crap what colour your skin is, if you're nice to me then i like you and vise versa.

true. i think it really depends on the person and whether they think it offensive or not.

Actually, I just think that ppl like to argue about this stuff to find a way that they are right. To yall I may be color blind, but I see a f***ing black guy in that picture I posted. Maybe be white to some of yall, maybe be brown, may even be orange....I dont care, I was just stating my opinion in the nicest way possible...I didnt want to sound racist cause I wasnt being racist. Wasnt trying to really argue. I think brown ppl are beautiful any mixed person is. (imo)...Well I am out of this thread, it is pointless.

In my opinion I don't think it has anything to do with being titled as black or white. I think that it's more so along the lines of the way It's said or perceived. I think that it refers to back in the day people referred to blacks as "slaves" or a certain type of person. Black was said in more of a dirty way. Back in time Whites were said to be " superior" or a"above blacks" so I think that it's the way people use the titles. For example if you're introducing a friend and explaining their background I don't how someone could take offence to that as much as someone would take offence to something like this; " oh ya he's just a black guy, nothing great" I think it's more of the way you use it or tone you say it in that could make it sound more racist.

Nope, i can clearly see the side of the cutout, most obviously on the chair. I would be very surprised if it was a real guy, since he looks pretty damn flat if it is.
