i was hooked on the book Animal Farm by George Owell (or something like that) for some reason. I loved doing the projects and having to know how to refer the animals into our government. It was definitly interesting.

We read that in year 9 - quite good.

Best book I read for school was Lord of the Flies, by William Golding. The only book I have ever enjoyed more after annotating.

I gated every book in English, like Macbeth or Romeo and Juliet, and everything else, the only good thing was watching a film and reviewing Shrek.

I had to read Demian by Hermann Hesse for AP English 4. I loved it while I was reading it, but for about two weeks after, I was fantastically depressed and convinced that the world was not going to hell but was already there. I'm not allowed to read anymore Hesse...or Neitzsche, for that matter (the book dealt mostly with Neitzsche and Carl Jung and their philosophies). I also fell in love with all things Steinbeck during English 3. One of the only American authors I really like.
