For me I have to be absolutely dying or bugged and pushed into it until I go insane. I know that it can be beneficial but for many things I don't really see what they can do that I can't do myself or tell myself.

Although sometimes it has been stupidity on my part. Like when I got bit by a spider on the stomach and my gut went rock hard. I didn't go to the doctor for 5 days, even though I was poisoned by a spider.

I think it may also be due to having an incredibly high pain thresh hold. I have hurt myself badly many times but have learnt just to walk it off. Often putting up with pain for weeks, sometimes months till it goes away.

Months normally.

If it was a medical emergency I probably would but there have been a couple of things where I've thought "I should probably see a doctor" and then just constantly forgotten about it.

The annoying thing is most of the time when I do go see a Doctor they either prescribe me something I could get over the counter and my mum as a nurse had already told me to get or they tell me I'm fine and there is nothing to worry about.

Most recent time though I did go in instantly as I pulled a sicky off work and I needed to get my bloods done to prove to my work I was healthy and able to go back to work.

I stupidly suffered 2 years of pain before going to my doctor and have to go to hospital anyway. If I'd gone sooner I'd have saved myself a lot of pain and worry.
I will drag family and friends to the doctor though, I wouldn't let them be so stupid.

I'll book an appointment as soon as I need one, although I've not actually needed to see a doctor for years now - just repeat prescriptions

The last time I went to the doctor, it was for a complete physical. I think I went to get on birth control to manage my cycle (TMI I know).

The last time I'd been to the doctor before that was when I had my tubal ligation...6 weeks after my daughter was born. So...it was 5 years between visits.

I think in the last 15 years, I've only been to the dr for physicals and pregnancy. I vaguely recall going to the dr when I was in high school (at least 15 years ago) to be tested for strep.

It takes me months to actually get an appointment usually.

Depends on the situation, last time I refused to go until I woke up one morning and was crying my eyes out by the time I'd managed to roll over on the side. I don't go unless I really have to, or can't deal with whatever's going on by myself.

It depends. I have kick a** insurance and I like my doctor, so if I feel I really need to go, I go.

Longest I went without visiting the doctor was 10 years only because I used to regard them all as useless disinterested c***s.

I found that. I went to the doctor after Finding lumps in my ballsack.

He copped a feel and said 'Those are your testicles sir'.

How did he know? I could have been born without testicles but with testicle shaped lumps in there instead.

reminds me of when I had a concussion and the doctor had his hand down my shirt. I didn't know what was going on. The problem was with my head not my nipples.
