No, it would require faith to believe something when evidence is contrary. If your just looking for an answer, it requires no faith, just an open mind.

If there is no evidence to suggest life on other planets, than you have faith that other lifeforms exsist.

Your just looking for new life, if you have no definitive evidence supporting either that there is or isn't life on other planets.
