What is the go with this? I just saw a website thats says you're really cool and emo if you try and kill yourself but fail. Your also really cool and emo if you cut youself Please correct me if I'm wrong people but attempted suicide is NOT cool. What the....?

lmao, yeah I know... emo is my new thing, lol. To be tragic youth I guess but my cousin and I always say that instead of sad or upset or whatever...or if I wear all black she's all like "Oh...emo, f*** you're awesome" and then pretend to cry. I'll take my friend's cig and be all like "I'm attempting emo...cancer will consume me and I'll eventually die, and no one loves me or cares" and crazy s*** like that. but I like emo music

And f*** fake emotions. Real emotions are hard enough to deal with. If you need a reason to really cry, look at the world we live in. "Why do we pity the dead?" and all.

idk either I dont get it..there is something wrong with the youth of america and i dont understand it. My boyfriend is rather emo and on anti-depressants and so is our friend, I just don't get y they can't seem to deal with everyday problems that ppl have been dealing with for years.

Being emotional and being "emo" are different, just so you people know. Being emo means falling prey to fashion and stupid songs. Teh so-called emo songs are mostly redundant and about love and semi-bad families (try getting beat and/or molested, how many Blink 182 songs talk about that?). Emo is a fashion, and it sucks, being stupid and childish and completely selfish. Being emotional is being human and truthful.

Emo music is okay, but the whole concept of being Emo is just another way to get attention for most people. Some people actually do have problems, but it usually turns out that they're the ones that you always thought were okay. For example, my neighbor just shot himself one day and nobody knew why or saw it coming. But then people, (haha like Dustin, who sits on the bus cutting his arm and it's all nasty and bleeding all over the place), just need to be told to suck it up and put on a freaking band-aid or something.

that is wrong in so many ways a close friend of mine committed suicide like a couple of days ago....i dont know what sick person would do this....it is VERY WRONG...
