but that emo thing wasnt about hate it was poking fun like kath and kim
on tv mocks a class of person, like little britain pokes fun at stereo types.

I'm just saying that video in particular imitates some brutal moments I've seen before. It's not
funny to see your friends with black eyes and broken ribs because they wore tight jeans.

And most of my posts in this thread are aimed at the starter of this topic, because it seems
that all he posts about is sledging emos or other people sledging emos.
I understand comedy and this had the theme of a comedy, but it hits too close to home to
too many people I know. And I've honestly had enough of it. Just give everyone a break from
it Chris.

It is funny in general banter here and there. My best friends are as stereotypically emo as
they get and I laugh at them regularily for it. It's a great joke, but when people are actually
MEANING offence at it, then it gets out of hand.
Also, labeling is fine, it's the fact there are consequences to labeling that is causing the
problems. If you didn't get beaten up for being Emo, a good few people wouldn't care if they
got labelled anymore. If no one gave a f*** of what they were being called and just where
themselves, there wouldn't be any hassle.

Basically thats how I act. You can call me Emo, Punk, Prep (Note: I'm known as the grade's
'emo kid' and also 'prep boy') and thats great. People are spending time to think about me
and fitting me into their life under a label. People do that, it's how they remember people. At
the end of the day I'm all of them, and I'm Nathan. Thats all that matters

oop meaning offence and taking offence are different . i dont mock race but i dont mind mocking things people choose to be. be that emo, metalhead or religion and yes sterotypes can be mean and cruel but most comedy has a cruel streak.
