I've seen people who were desperate to live longer, go to every surgeries, specialist, tried faith healing and so on and forth.....I'm just saying that we always tend to look upwards and forget to look down, because when we look down we see people who were more desperate than us but still manage to fight for their lives, maybe then we can appreciate our lives better...."People who were happy and successful became who they were bcoz they have everything, but rather they make the most of what they have..."

Happy people were not all happy before they became happy...make sense? That's why they utilize what they already have to be happy..

One uses what one has in order to become and stay happy.

maybe suicide isnt really wrong at all, because life in itself is an opportunity to see what will happen tomorrow... and just like any opportunity, you can take it, or let it pass, what you do is up to you, and subject to your judgment, and only your judgment.

I think those contemplating suicide are actually at a point where they truly beleive that everyone would be better off without them.

I think the difference is you dont think "well when i am dead they will be all sorry" you think "when i am dead they will be much happier"

Its a bad place to be. Those contemplating suicide need a non-judgemental ear. If you cant give that then point them in a direction where they can get it.

To turn around and call them selfish will only add ammo to those feelings of non-worth.

Suicide is an interesting psychological phenomenon. In many cases the person who attempts suicide doesn't fully realise the implications; they are trying to make a statement to people. Suicide is a powerful statement.

Yeah, often its a way of people saying "I need help" but of course its too late in a lot of instances. But those who jump from buildings, in front of trains, drink acid are of a very different nature i think. The fact that they do something irreversible and actually in a way to mutilate themselves beyond repair seems to be of another reason.

A lot of it depends on why the person feels the need to end their life.

With things like Depression and Bipolar people tend to make decisions that they would not normally make and may regret in the future. Also Depression can be hereditary, so if someone was to kill themselves it may have a knock on effect with someone who can't deal with it.

I don't think it is a selfish act, however I do think that they should seek help before they completely give up on life.
