And there is also the little problem that as you say, the light goes out to a mirror and back to be recombined, so even if it lost speed on the trip out, it would gain the exact same amount coming back. (net result nul) The setup of M& M could never find what they were looking for, and it in no way demonstrates that light goes 300 for every observer.
