Why lie

Why is it so many users on TFS lie about their age? In some of the pictures they are clearly not the age they say they are and in many posts members claim to be different ages than it says by their profile...

Does it bother you that much? Everyone lies. I don't give a s*** who it is.

This is the net and lying seems to be a big part of it.
I think if it's blatantly obvious that someone is lying, then they are not worth any bit of time or thought.

i dont see the point. unless their is some random little kid who wants to be taken seriously by the "adults". sadly they dont realise we would prob respect their ideas more if they didnt lie in the first place.

I think if it doesn't affect your life or impact it in any way, why worry about it? Really! Is it such a big deal in the scheme of things.

People lie for different reasons and to paint them all as losers or retards are a bit over the top, unless you know of anyone that hasn't ever lied in their lives. Then just accept it and move on, more important things to focus on in my opinion.

I'm 108 and that's not my real age and if it bothers anyone then that's their problem and they have to deal with it. I'm not hurting anyone!

Why are people under the impression i'm worrying about it. Ahhh. Wow. No it doesn't bother me. Maybe this thread should be moved to the random questions section if that exists.

And it's not targetted at the ones with ages like 108 etc. It's the ones that put what seem to be legitimate ages when they are a few years younger or something like that.
