The government will always waste a lot of our money. Sad but true.
The difference is that right now, we're in a crisis, and huge amounts of money need to be spent to literally keep us alive, and to keep the rest of the world from falling into chaos and going to war. It's not Obamas fault that he's saddled with the task of pulling us out of this mess, it's the fault of the 4 presidents that served before him. But he is doing the job, and in my opinion he's doing it quite well.

Will everything be wonderful in 4 years? I doubt it. Will we be heading in the right direction? I'm certain of it.

How does a government operate without taxes and spending?

But the government certainly doesn't need to be as big and expensive as the one we have.
