It does make sense. It's all about those who believe and then form religions.

how does it make sense?
they believe then form a religion,
just to be the enemy of nothing?
I think you have to explain more of what you mean.

Religions think they do right by God but the point is that they actually do not - if we assume that the God they believe in is good and wise according to them, which is generally what they say.

In the sense that what they're interpreting is true to their idea of what god is,
then they are of course, doing right by god.
What you say still makes little sense
in your arguments as to why,
religion is the enemy of god.

religions have their own interpretation of what god is,
they do right by their own standards. you can''t say its an offense to god because you have no clearer an idea of what god is.

No offence but none of this thread makes any sense..
Religion could be the enemy of God as it has branched into racial hatred and wars between other religions, or because it could encourage elitism within Christianity, well IMO anyway.

But you actually made the point that religion is "not OF God" which I think is right.

The obvious philosophical leap is to ask the question "is religion something that God would want?" (Again, supposing that God is good and wise).

Sorry, but you're missing the point again.

The point does make sense but you do have to make a little philosophical leap.

Yeah it is pretty hard to understand
just what is being said here.
There have always been
and there always will be
wars between religions.
Who's to say thats not exactly what god wants?
For his chosen people to dominate all others.
Why does god have to be omnibenevolent?
As the ultimate being It does not make sense to me.

good and wise are subjective terms.
according to the religions in question, their interpretations say that yes god does want religion, thats enough for them and impossible to refute unless you claim that you know god better, which you can't.

There are many times that people have made a seemingly non-sensical (but not actually) comment to make a point. This is one. It does require thinking out of the box.

Riiiight, so what exactly is the point you're trying to make? It sounds a bit ambiguous but you probably have a good point.
