I learned when I was about 7. I'm not very good, but I can skate quickly and maintain balance, stopping needs a little work though.

Never did the whole figure skating thing. My dad made me wear hockey skates and I found them much easier to balance on.

Rollerblading is much easier. But ice skating is so much fun.
I haven't been skating in about two years now. I want to go again...

I went ice skating once... in Rockefeller Center in Manhattan around Christmas time with over 1000 people watching!!!

While I was on the ice, some guy got on one knee in center ice and proposed to his girlfriend. She said yes and everyone cheered

OMG!!!! I WANT THAT FOR CHRISTMAS!

Talk about public humiliation if she said no.

We went to a Red Wings game in Detroit last year for valentine's day & they were going around showing different people kissing & crap like that . . . They get to one section & this guy is down on his knees, proposing to the chickadee with him. She starts shaking her head & all of a sudden the camera swings away. She told him 'no.' In front of ALL THOSE PEOPLE!

Well, if you're a good 'lil girl, then maybe santa will bring it to you!
