Lent....

What are you giving up for Lent?!?!?! I can't decide, but I'm running out of time lol.... (I know some people feel they shouldn't tell anyone, but I'm not gonna know if you keep up with it or not...only God will :D)

Its a catholic thing, they have to give up something they like for 40 days.

Good, I'm not Catholic....no need to give up anything.

When I did the whole lent thing I just gave up stuff I already didn't like.

I think it's just another thing imposed by the catholic church to make you feel like crap.. JMO

It's not neccessarily a Catholic thing, but was started by Catholics. I know several non-Catholics who particpate in it.

Eh I dunno. You can also do something positive, like say you're going to do more volunteer work or something.

Regardless, it is a good thing, and EVERYONE has SOMETHING that they could and should give up...

I could say many things but according to traditional Christian beliefs I don't think that would fly.
Shouldn't it be used I mean if you;'re are going to observe it that is, follow what was actually imposed which meant the fasting , abstinence, no festivities along with whatever vice you had?

people seem to just pick and choose little things.
In other words

It seems to me that today, most people just choose something easy to give up and .. well I'm not going to rant today on religion I'll just butt out. sorry.
