Global climate change is "very likely" to have a human cause, an influential group of scientists has concluded.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) said temperatures were probably going to increase by 1.8-4C (3.2-7.2F) by the end of the century.

It also projected that sea levels were most likely to rise by 28-43cm, and global warming was likely to influence the intensity of tropical storms.

The findings are the first of four IPCC reports to be published this year.

*sigh* Global warming...it's all a load of rubbish if you ask me...

Not that we're not destroying the environment, which we obviously are. We just are failing to see that, as old as the earth is, we are still privy to climate shifts...technically we are still coming out of the ice age...

I read a book many moons ago , we are due a Pole shift and we are due a mini ice age.. which normally happens after a 10 year spurt of heat waves.. this year would be year 8?? mmm... makes me wonder who actually knows whats going on...

But i'll say one thing,... something is a-miss..

The vast majority of climatologists acknowledge that the planet is in a natural upswing in temperature....... *but* that humans are accelerating it by quite a bit.

Do you have any valid criticisms of the research presented in the movie?

Did you even see it?

Or do you just hear "Al Gore" and turn your brain off and associate it all with "liberal propoganda"?

You might want to read *actual reviews and criticisms* of the film. By all accounts it's very well balanced and highly accurate.

All I had to see was Al Gore. It's like seeing a film by Michael Moore....

Maybe I'll get around to seeing it this weekend and give a more informed criticism.

In other words, you know absolutely nothing about the film *except* that you don't need to see it or know a single thing about it to know that it's crap.

That does say it all I guess.

I've heard commentary about the film and also the inaccuracies in it. I can take a wild guess what is in it - humans are responsible for a majority of global warming. Yanno, those damn SUV's. Does he even give any other possibility as to what is responsible for global warming?

I'd love to hear what you've heard about the inaccuracies in the film.
