I think its just a phase people go through, mainly in high school. They're just trying to fit in and follow the crowd doing what they think they should be doing, instead of actually figuring out and discovering who they are themselves as a person

I hate to say this because you have all prolly heard this before but half or all of those idiots you know right now you will not even remember years from now. They will all be washed up losers while you are living a great life. Trust me - I know! haha

Someone told me once that if you come out of high school with one good friend you've done well!

In all honesty though, think how much is going to change in just 5 or 10 years. You're more likely to keep strong friendships going with the people you meet after high school than you are with your friends now. Everybody will go off in their own direction and you'll lose touch. It's sad to think about, but I think for the most part it's inevitable. So just forget about all this crap that won't matter in five years and try to enjoy the time you have together now!
