Oh no, does that mean that I married my cousin??? No, I know what you mean, I was just joking.
I think that there are much more important reasons for disliking a person over their skin color (lol). I think that it is normal for people to focus on the differences between things and people. I'm not saying that it is right, I'm saying that it's just how we are as people. It's the judgement of other people based on those differences that defeats us.
I guess that it is possible for organizations to skew statistics to benefits them I'm just not sure how they can change hard core numbers, such as the statistics from the FBI. I would imagine if some organization consistently published invalid information that eventually somebody would call them on it and all their data would then always be questionable.
I'm not pro any race. As you pointed out we are all from similar source DNA so let's focus on our similarities and not our differences. As big as our planet might seem at times, its too small for us all to not get along.
However, It would be interesting knowing if there was a correlation between race (skin color) and crime but I think that there would be a stronger correlation between poverty level, which affects all races, and crime.

Did you know that recent DNA research is showing everybody is mixed race (If you go back more than 800 years or so).
Here's why--
Most Europeans have some African DNA (even Northern Europeans, most of whom have some Berber blood from North Africa).
Most North Africans have European DNA
Most sub-Saharan Africans have some ASIAN DNA and many also have some European DNA
And on and on... we are ALL mixed race...
Say hello to your cousins, they are all around you.
