OK, so I have physics homework, and we're doing an electricity unit. I'm stuck on a question.

2)

a. Draw a circuit diagram of a circuit that has three lamps in series attached to a battery pack, and add a switch that controls all three lamps. (done that)

b. If the three lamps are rated as "6V, 0.06A", calculate the supply voltage needed to allow them to operate properly.

... How do I do that...?

That's not really physics that is electronic equations.Ok there is a simple equation. The lamps are in series you so basically have 18 volts as your supply voltage. This is because in a series circuit voltage is divided among the components in it.so there you go.Good luck.

We do electronics in physics But thanks!

Yeah well I studied Electronics in College as my major, but I never learned about it in Physics really. You're very welcome though.

I think putting electronics into the physics class is a Uk thing

yes it really annoys me how a ridiculous amount of my AS physics is spent learning electronics when if I wanted to do that I could have taken electronics a level
grrr.
I must admit it is quite intereting but it gets too much after so long.

This is old, but a good physics curriculum includes a mechanics component and an E&M component.

Circuits is as much physics as ballistic motion.

Your answer was of course correct though
