Crying at movies shows other males (competition) that you are weak.
It must be an instinctive thing to hide these emotions.
I don't really care though because most movies are fiction anyway.

Actually, there is nothing instinctive about it. It is society. Society nowadays teaches boys not to cry. The proof is that in the past, it was alright for men to cry, and they did. A man could cry if he met another man on the road that he hadn't seen in a long time, and it would be alright, because they were brothers. Society is what does it to us now.
