Why the majority of boys don't cry when someone die or when their girlfriend leave them or anything terrible happens.
Are they just insensible stupid or they just hide when they cry?
I think a man it's something of very weird

My take on it is:

Because guys always hold in their feelings. In the past, and in some cases now, society didn't expect guys to show their feelings. Those who did weren't "strong" or "masculine". Just because they're not crying their eyes out doesn't mean they're not feeling something.

I thought only guys that are way too fixated on being "tough" wouldn't cry when someone died or their g/f or wife left them. Like gangsters, or cowboys or something.

then they are egoist and superficial cuz they're paying attention about what others think about them.

Guys get more upset/distressed than girls do most of the time over things.

So they should show their feelings because that's what you want?

Everyone, at some degree, is influenced by what society expects. Some follow the mold, some rebel, but either way they are still affected by these expectations.

I actually had my boyfriend cry and beg me back over the phone. I was like: "Whatever..." back then.

But now it breaks my heart to know I hurt him. He loved me and was baring his soul to me and I didn't even acknowledge that.

I feel like a very s***ty person right now.

I had a similar experience. I was a real b**** to one of my b/f's when he was begging me to take him back. I feel really bad about it now. He still hates me, even though it was like 13 years ago.

I mean, we got back together over that.

And then the tables turned, and I ended up crying my eyes out to him over the phone and he said no and was like "Whatever".

Karma's a b****, I'll tell ya.

I think guys feel things like we do, they just don't express them like we do - and yes, it is because of being influenced by society, and yes we all are influenced.

I definitely agree that society has a lot to do with this, even though things are changing nowadays. I grew up with 5 brothers and they were definitely told/taught that men do not cry, and my step dad was taught the same thing growing up. Now, I am in a relationship with a really nice guy who has no problem showing emotions and while I know this is a good thing, it sometimes makes me uncomfortable. As a matter of fact, he cried today and I had no clue how to respond to him.
