Rude to point

So people like to go on about how pointing at people is rude.

Why? its not like your doing anything bad.

i dont find it rude if somone points at me,

infact i think its stupid when people say that

its more rude to flip em the bird

I was pointing at a door the other day and them my boyfriend told me it was rude to point

When I was working in a nursing home we were told never to point. Say someone is asking for directions and you point down the hall, an older lady might think you are pointing at her, you might laugh while talking to the person you are giving directions to so now this poor old lady thinks you are pointing and laughing at her. We were told I think to use 3 fingers or your full hand to direct someone ..
