It's not abnormal for the flu to kill people. It IS abnormal for a completely new strain of flu to pop up in the region of a couple of Disease Research Centers . It is also extremely coincidental it happened when the democratic protests in Hong Kong were going on. It doesn't have to kill more or less people than any other virus, all it has to do is garner the attention of the news away from the protests; if indeed this is intentional.

So, aside from the fact that the coronavirus in question is not actually a type of flu, it is you who gets to decide which types of viruses are the ones that are being created by governments to disrupt society in in what ways... Interesting.👍🏻

Here's my theory:

The U.S. Government and/or big Pharma here working on influenza virus variations. The intent is to develop strains that can be released into the population... after they already have a vaccine. By developing low fatality rate flu variations, they boost the health care industry in the USA by way of doctor visits, healthcare insurance, over the counter medicine sales and vaccines (from development to sales).

The CDC estimates something like 12,000 Americans will die from the flu in any given year, though as many as 61,000 people died in the 2017-2018 flu season, and 45 million were infected.

But you don't want people paying attention to this ....

So, in 2019/20120 "you" get a break. A low fatality rate zoonosis spillover from bats to some other mammal and then into humans. Its happened before, and will happen again, though every now and then it is freaky (think SARS and HIV).

... Brilliant... here is what we do... we flip the switch and freak everyone out about the coronavirus in China... sure it has a low fatality rate, but that doesn't matter... Americans are gullible and stupid.... we leak a few stories... add in the Hong Kong protest... and SHAZAM! No one will pay attention to our homemade influenza game... in fact everyone will want to give us more money to find the cure....

etc.

And no one will ever "care" or figure it out because "we'll" keep distracting them with BS news stories.

Why would the U.S. Government and/or big Pharma do this?

Here you are at a minimum STRONGLY implying that the coronavirus in question was created in a research facility and was then used by the Chinese government against Hong Kong protesters. If you claim that is not what you were implying then you are a liar.

Here's that article again from The National Interest about Uighurs and Corona virus. The point of the article is people being held in re education centers are particularly vulnerable to the spread of infectious disease ( like coronavirus ) by virtue of their close confinement to each other. Of course, they shouldn't be in detention centers in the first place. This is an example of a repressive regime trying to remove the ethnic identity of a people and make them conform to the norms of an empire.
