1st match, tonight on ITV1, kick off 9pm but the show starts at 7pm, so we have to sit through 2 hours of pap before we get to the game!

In all seriousness though, the area where I live in Vancouver is always a huge party when the World Cup is happening. A majority of the restaurants as well as ALL of the Italian/European coffeehouses play the matches and because of the multicultural area of Commercial Drive, you'll see people dressed in all the different team colours. There's a lot more Italia, Brazil and Spain supporters than the other teams, but everyone has fun regardless of which team they're rooting for.

I remember one year when one of the matches was Brazil vs. Argentina and there was one guy in a white shirt as opposed to the rest of the people at the bar with yellow shirts. When Argentina won, all the Brazilian fans started to jokingly razz the sole Argentinian fan, who was sort of worried for a second, but then realized they were just messing with him.
