The number of young people available to go into higher education in England will decline sharply in the next decade, population estimates suggest.

I dont understand that because, more are passing there GCSE's and A levels.. and the Uni across the road from my work has had to build 3000 apartment building... so i think that this story is a little untrue...

It's the hypocricy of labour. Don't get me wrong i would probably vote for them way ahead of the tories but surely a party with left wing ideals would be more likely to not have top up fees? So the poorer, working class people i guess, would not be able to afford it. New Labour is turning slowly blue.

*cough* sorry

i read the bit at the bottom about financial help for poorer students

i agree and disagree they should make their own way, but maybe the debts are putting them off higher education

true, but if the government just left education alone and lets say privatised it, it would mean a lot less people getting a good education.
