People with multiple accounts

I know a bunch of us have second accounts that we might dust off and go online with once in a while for the purpose of having fun, but I really can't understand why people have multiple accounts to try and deceive others into thinking that they're a different person...

I mean, I know that no one's going to own up to pretending to be someone else, but what's the deal?

Are they just bored? Lonely?

Enlighten me.

I don't see the point of deceiving.
I know several fakes on here and people think they are real. It's sad to see people being played like that.
With google nowadays, it's easy to spot the fakes.

There are some very strange people who use the net. 90% of the time people are being pretty genuine.

The other 10% well the mind boggles frankly. I suppose some people get a kick out of winding other people up. Personally I think its pretty cruel. I mean there is always the pathetic sock puppet who uses an alias to back themselves up in an argument. Thats just pretty sad and pathetic really.

But there are those who even get people to fall in love with them over the net just for s***s and giggles.

Thats pretty twisted IMO.

I agree Plebs, I know there's a few people on here that aren't who they claim to be (can't name names for obvious reasons) and people do think they're genuine. It's really sad.
