Pentium Processor

can anyone explain to me what is a pentium processor, but can you explain it like i know nothing please?

I was wondering becuase the commercials seem to put it over like the best invention ever.

So I figured I better find out.

It's just a brand of processor. It basically helps run your PC. the better processor you have, the more efficient your PC will run. When the Pent 3's hit the market I remember it being rated as the best thing ever Course now we have the Pent 4s

An brand of processors, made by Intel. they where kinda succeeded by the "core" brand. although there may be some still under this brand.

I believe the Pentium 4 was the last major version of that brand.

Yeah. Like my work PC has a pentium D and it's an utter POS processor. Grant you, I'm not alloted alot of RAM either, and it takes 2 minutes to save an excel workbook.
