Ladies - How painful is it really?

I've never got one. But one thing I can think of that COULD help, is expect worse. Like envision the pain of being stabbed. Then you might feel better after feeling the real tattoo pain.

I got mine on my upper back. I'm not going to lie, it hurt like hell. I can tolerate a lot of pain and this was a lot.
BUT mine was right on my spine. So that had a lot to do with it.

Now that I've forgotten how bad it hurt, I'd get another one. I remember at the time thinking no way am I going to do this again, but of course, I'm ready for another one.

It's worth it. My friend got hers on her thigh she said it didn't hurt too bad.

It's more painful if you get it on a bony area

I was gonna say it might help to go in a bit tipsy, but you're right and bring up a good point about bleeding more.

I was going to get one once, was even in the parlor, and the guy was such a d*** I told him kiss my a** and left.

And that's when I decided I was going to be a rebel and NOT get one.

Yea, like a person really wants the individual who will be going at 'em with a needle to be a jerk! He didn't want to answer any of my questions and acted like he didn't want to be bothered. I was on a beach trip and knew I'd never see the guy again so I just told him "you have a real attitude problem and you are an a*****e".

Then got the hell out of there before he could go find his gun.

I have been thinking of getting a tattoo on my thigh, but I hate needles and obviously I hate pain!
However, there are loads of women with tattoos, so I'd like to know from those gals who have had one done, just how painful is it?
Does it depend on where on the body you get it done? Would it be better to gain weight and have a fatter thigh, or would that just be like stabbing a pig? Would it be best to be a little bit pissed before I went?

Go get one, take a friend with you, then go get drunk afterwards. It's not at all like being stabbed. It's more of an annoying pain than real pain. The noise of the needle really bothered me.
