I Don't Think This Is Racist At All and I'm Black!

Hay i love chocolate and cake..

It's political correctness gone mad and it drives me insane! Who the hell started it?! I remember only 10 years ago, people didn't even think about that kind of thing, but suddenly its escalated. Have racial relations really gotten that bad?!

Chocolate cake is yummy. People are really getting weirder by the day. How can
anybody consider that racist? It's a great compliment.

When i was dating a Jamacian girl, i was shocked the amount of people that couldn't say the word "black" incase i thought they where racist.. Its all gone made..

It's all gone mad! We (as in black people) don't mind being called black, but if you call us coloured, then you'll see trouble. Grrrrr

If you insist . . . but the reason why black people don't like being called coloured is because it was used a lot when relations between blacks and whites were not good, and its not the colour of our race. not sure if i explained that right . . . . basically, its the equivalent of calling us niggers, which was used by whites as a derogotary term.

I shouldn't say this guys.. but you should go to somewhere like india, and see how they treat people of there own race with darker skin than them.. its horrible.. and pathetic..

I've heard about that. And they still have the caste system. There are people whose job it is to clean out the sewars because that's apparently the role they were born to do! They have no opportunity to better themselves and there's even been demonstrations protesting against members of the lower caste system going into university.

I don't think that remark is racist at all. it's cute, it actually made me laugh. It's the racist people who find every little term to be racist. You have to have the mind to think it to believe it's racism. Though, I don't think racism will ever cease... you don't have to walk on eggshells to prove you're not racist. You shouldn't HAVE to PROVE it by watching what you say, it should never come down to insulting someone's race to make a point.

Hmmmm chocolate cake

Friend of mine, not long after we started chatting on msn (She lives in the West Indies) said to me "Do you like this chocolate then?" Totally stumped me till she had to explain like to a kid "You see Ian, I'm the colour of chocolate....so..."

Seems to be too much sensitivity around colour. I can't tan, and if I get in the sun too much I go red - call me coloured if u want
