no i wouldn't,

what's done is done and not saying it should be forgotten, but it shouldn't be thrown into everyone's face for people who want to move on.

no, it's my birthday tomorow and im always sick of people going on about twin towers this, terrorist that. Five minutes silence for those who died.

People die due to terrorism, and all sorts all the time, it would be rediculous to have a day set aside for one tragedy, and not the others.

I'm probably totally wrong about this, and I know it isn't even the time of the year yet, but it seems like alot more attention is paid to the Twin Towers thing, and not what happened in London...
And on to the subject, no I dont think there should be a Twin Towers day. I agree with what matthemod said

Just ten days ago, september the first, was the second aniversory of the beslan school hostage. Yet nobody called for a Beslan Seige day a couple of weeks ago did they?

So why should their be a 9/11 day.

I first thought it would be a good idea, but then I imagined everyone having an avvy depicting burning skyscrapers.
Then I thought, "well what about USA day then?" And then I realized that that would be even worse.

So why don't we all just draw portraits of Osama or Bush and have them as avvies?

I like the idea of an anti-osama day

I think the reason why a september 11th day was suggested was it's a subject that particularly affects americans on the board. They've never really had anything of this magnitude to contend with, britain has a long history of terrorist acts, i mean there was one every other week in the 80's!

America haven't had that, i guess the word is "de-sensitisation" so 9/11 is a very sensitive subject for them.

Well to be fair, the scale of 9/11 is massive. Unless you actually saw the towers in person you would have no idea. Im not saying that in a derogatory way.

OK you know the natwest tower in London? add more floors, make a duplicate, then imagine it falling down on the buildings around it, imagine all the people inside working. It still wouldnt be as big.

Yes we have faced terrorist acts in the UK, nothing on that scale.
