Commitment

Commitment Is it just me? I honestly have a problem, with commitment and I'm not just talking about the M word I'm talking about being someones....gulp...girlfriend/partner/prisioner, whatever you want to call it. I have no problem with fidelity and I'm not a party animal but....is it trust? genetics? I get so scared and ... no, scared is the right word. I thought this was supposed to be a guy problem. I'm not fiercely independant and I'm financially secure so whats my big problem?

When you are ready for it, you will know. Dont worry about it, you are young. Sometimes people are well into thier 40's and 50's before they feel like making some sort of commitment for life.

I guess it's just who you are...maybe you've been hurt in the past from relationships or something like that


I personally don't have any problems with commitment, but each person is different

I know I know but its hard because in every other area of my life I am well developed and I like the idea I just can't follow through... like I'm my own worst enemy. I seem to attract creeps which doesn't help. Maybe I should be asking how not to attract stalkers, pervs, married men etc.

You need weirdo repellant, and when you find some, please let me know where you got it because i need some too

Well I'm 35 and only last year found the right man for me.

Have been married once and have had 7 long term relationships. It takes time to find the right man - there is one out there for you.

Just enjoy being single, have lots of fun and don't get too serious too young!!

I think the worse thing was last year I got this letter taped to the front door of my workplace with electrical tape and it scared the crap out of me. Police couldn't get fingerprints said he wore gloves. It was so yuk I just cried but then I got angry. (I don't think this has to do with commitment phobia)

Har har! I just think its strange and curious to see how many others kinda delt with the same things, obviously I stand alone here... but you are all right, its only the expectations that WE have of ourselves that matter right!?!

I know how ya feel... I know i am only 18, but at the moment, i have a few guys that want more than friendship from me... and i don't mind that... cept i can't choose... and i know i don;t have to choose. But i like them all... and then when i decide on one, 5 minutes later i decide that i can't accept and that i just want all or none...

ok so maybe slightly different, but i think its due to a commitment problem. I just want to have fun right now...

but yeah... you dont stand alone.
