Prison is very different in the UK compared to the USA. Well, once you are sentenced. When you are on remand its pretty tough. Which is strange because when you are on remand you arent actually convicted yet, just waiting for trial.

We have jail and prison, jail is usually where you have a short sentence for a small crime or you're waiting for trial and couldn't make bond and then theres prison where you're in for the long haul and you have to establish that you're nobody's b**** by walking up on the first day and beating some random person smaller then you...
