Many politicians and CEO's tell us that agribussiness and plant modification is going to feed the world. Do you think so?

There is a book out the entitled "Fatal Harvest," that everyone should read. If your were to campare the productivity...that is short and long term productivity of a small organtic farm as to a large "plantation farm." the small farm is ten fold more productive and has less impact on the land. I don't wnat to go on regurgitating facts from the book so I'll stop.

One of the things that really bothers me that was in the book and I have heard for a few years now in the news from time to time, is the large seed companies patening thier knowledge of how they make lets say a drought resistant soy plant and sells this seed to a poor Afician country. The shame is they have a built in termination gene so the seeds cannot be saved. Fircing the country to buy the seeds year in and year out. Corperations are bad and farming is becoming a corperation.
