I went to Berlin on the weekend.

Good God it is embarrasing that everyone and their dog can speak english and all I can do is order 8 beers please.

I know I found it embarrassing in Paris too cos it was the same story...

i have traveled quite a bit and always try to learn the obviuos ones before I go. You know the sort of thing, yes and no, please and thankyou and 1 to 10.

Its lame I know but its a start.

Saying this all I could remeber of my Polish was thankyou. It didnt impress my polish taxi driver in berlin and my mates pidgeon turkish did not impress his Turkish taxi driver either.

saying that we were very, I say very drunk at the time.
