Put your cooking disasters down here

I was making my Sunday dinner but having a few drinks at the same time.

When I came to make the onion gravy, I used icing sugar instead of cornflour !

I don't recomend it !

When I was visiting a friend in Brissy we burnt the rice and then somehow burnt the chicken, we didn't eat much that night.

My homemade pecan pies are a big hit around the holidays and I was making several at a time once and they all turned out so pretty and full. Upon serving these at the table I realized I had forgotten to take the paper that came with the frozen shell out of it before adding the pie filling. I only forgot to remove it from one pie but damn that was funny as hell . I still get jokes about that every year now.

I put microwave popcorn in for 45 minutes instead of 4-5 minutes.

The popcorn popped alright....but blasted the microwave across the kitchen in the process.

I made Tortelini or whatever those pasta rolls you stuff with meat and cheese and whatever you want... Well, I don't know what I did wrong, but it was NASTY! I wouldn't eat them and told my husband he didn't have to. But he said he liked them and ate them all! I don't know why, they were terrible!

And my sister invented a new type of "pound cake". She added too much water to the mix, and when it was cooked, the bottom was as hard as concrete. She still hasn't lived that one down!

I don't have many cooking stuff ups myself. 8)

When I was making pastry for an income, they were teaching how to make shortbread. I stuffed it up 3 times in a row. One of these times, I forget to add any sugar.

I had a really bad boiled peanut incident... I cooked them for so long that I warped the pan and the smell was just awful.
