Hot bath sleep aid????

I was feeling pretty spent a little while ago so I thought I'd go take a hot bath while D. was resting and the kids were out , I needed to relax. I had to cut my bath short and get out because I was about to fall asleep in the tub. Even though I was tired before I got into the tub , I did'nt feel sleepy whatsoever. I can be tired as hell and still not be sleepy but this was different. When I got out of the tub I was so sleepy that I could have went straight to bed without drying off .

Maybe it's just the stress I don't know but it looks like I'm going to sleep well when I finally do get in bed tonight, I'll wait up on the kidos to get home first of course.

So does a hot bath make you sleepy????

I love a hot bath makes me sleepy and feel great I make sure, although i shower every day, that i get a hot bath once a week

Yeah I think it was what i needed I feel so relaxed now. D's in the shower and then we're going to bed and snuggle till the kids get home , I feel drugged I'm so relaxed now.

I get REALLY sleepy after I've had a hot bath! The hotter it is the better it works.

BUT apparently you can't have a bath above a certain temp when your pregnant so I haven't had any even though they'd be the BEST thing to help me sleep Can someone PLEASE tell me this is an old wives tale or a load of bull poop PLEASE!!!

I stopped taking baths a long time ago because I kept falling asleep. Once woke up with just my nose and mouth out of the water.

Bathing can be spiritually cleansing as well. And emotionally. Both very much connected.

i get tired from playing with my rubber ducky alone in the tub!
