"Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy"

One of those movies I remember in black and white even though it's in color. Superb acting, but with interesting yet hard to follow complicated story, having quick scene shifts and flashbacks etc. And then you get to the end and you're waiting for them to drop the other shoe. 7/10

i remember i seen the mini-series in 80's on pbs, it was excellent, i dont remember much about it now. i have try to read john le carre's books after i saw the movie, he is a hard writer to read, because his style of writing. i just read article in the news today, this movie just made remake. the article said the new version of " tinker,tailor, solider, spy " comes out next week, starring gary oldman. it should be pretty good, i probably going to see it.

Yes, there was also another movie version that came out in '79 which I haven't seen.

Unfortunately I couldn't see this, as it went from a wide release to limited, and isn't in any theater here in San Diego.

Will have to wait for it to come out on video.

Yeah, this was a audience test screening. They may be going back to the drawing boards. They actually passed out brochures with characters and terms. I think they need to work on the complexity problems I mentioned. At any rate, there's lots else opening.
