You seriously think people will stop buying new cars? Just like the tobacco companies dont make any money anymore because there is no incentive to smoke. People with the means will still buy new. Or even better, a car cant be taxed after it reaches 5yrs old or over 100k miles.

I can see what you're saying about it will hurt new car sales, but used cars will only last so long, plus if they did that, they would have cash for clunker programs every year or 2 to give incentive.

I really agree with what you've posted here Bro.... it will have to be, over my dead body before i'll EVER let this country even try to take us back to our hateful intolerance of non-whites or minority oppression! But I have myself, at times.....sat at the back of the bus before. Not because I was forced or suppose to....but simply because I wanted to!

Okay, bear with me, I'm obviously struggling with this.

I'm guessing that I currently pay about 10% of my income to my federal taxes (I think I actually pay less)...although eventually, I get them back as a return. So, that 10% would become 9%?

I already pay an 8.5% sales tax (state) and then there'd be another 9% on top of that (federal) for a total of 17.5% sales tax.

I don't pay state tax so that doesn't effect me.

Also in that question was, would individuals only be subject to the income and sales taxes?

Sounds like you are getting it, except with Cain's plan you wouldn't be getting the 10% back at the end of the year. You just pay it.
