You can keep oysters alive for months if you keep them submerged in cold salt water and change it about every day when it turns gray or black.

Yeah I know...but i don't have the heart to cook them alive. Especially the lobsters...When they put them in boiling water alive or just cut them straight into two alive.

I'll be happier not eating meat.

But yeah I do understand why you would do that.

This also works well for clams and mussels. I add a little corn meal to the water to get rid of the sand.
