I could tell the game was going on because at one point someone started yelling in excitement, then a series of "I'm sorry" chats went out.

I'm at work... in a library. Yelling is not normal.

That was a good match... but they relied way too much on Howard saving the day. You can only come at him so much before he caves in. Howard.! MVP...

Rest of US team played amazingly well considering how sloppy they were... they need to revisit their strategy and learn how not to crowd themselves so damn much ...
Bleh...

Team Howard!

Also, it's the Men's National Team. As apposed to the Women's National Team. That's just what we call it. IDK why it's confusing.

Until it was explained to me I was hoping it would be 'United States Mutant Ninja Turtles'!

Really loving this world cup, even the 0-0 matches have been exciting, and extra time last night was half an hour of some of the most exciting football I've ever seen.

Really loved that free kick by the USA, well worked and clever. USA teams in the past have possibly been a little lacking in that sort of creativity, this team look like a proper team with exciting ideas. Future looks bright for US football imo.

As for Belgium, they've started to show glimpses of what they are capable of, they've not been brilliant, but have managed to get the job done. I'm possibly looking forward to their game against Argentina more than any of the other quarters as I really don't know who to predict.

Oh, and also, apparently Tim Howard saved more goals in that match than any keeper has done in a World Cup finals match, ever. We was brilliant, MOTM by a mile for the USA. Courtois I thought was excellent as well. Imagine what the score might have been without such good goalkeepers on the field!

Has anyone else noticed that the World Cup symbol looks like someone face palming?
