That is a terrifying statement. You really want government to get involved in your personal life that way?

I'm with you. Government is there to co-ordinate our efforts as a nation/species and protect us from those that would do us harm. It is not there to protect us from ourselves, or tell us what to do. We are not subservient to it, is is subservient to us.

I wouldn't want them involed in my personal life at home.
But public places sure.

But htis isn't about public places. This is about the gov. stepping in and telling people thay THEY THINK the idividual should or shouldn't do with themselves, their bodies. That's creppy.

I'm sorry. I'm typing like an idiot today. I played a doubles match this morning and I think I'm fried.

That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Obese people still need to eat, just smaller portions and healthier food lol.

Their insurance will cover the extra health costs.

Well, I don't know about you guys, but the peeps in Mississippi definitely could use to shed a few pounds. If you read the article you would know that the bill got shredded, and even the republican rep. said he would have a hard time getting into restaurants. Yes, this is the cause of a lot of controversy and people are getting all up in arms about it. However, it does shed light on trying to make some healthy changes in our lives, even if it is negative attention.
