I know a few people who have had serious problems with iPods and when they ring whoever to sort it they get fobbed off.
..and the white headphones are a dead give-away to thieves!

I have a Creative Zen. I love it more than my last iPod.
it's battery life is outstanding...It's nevre once ran out of batteries, even when it says it's going to on the screen.

It holds 10,000 songs, which I have to say is waaaaaaay too much for me, but is very impressive for it's size/price etc.

It's also really durable, unlike my last iPod which smashed in my bag...this is a sturdy beast, big to some, but perfect pour moi.

Creative Zen are pretty much one of the best ones on the market (And for sound quality, and definately build quality will beat an Ipod).
Ipods are one of those things that are a bit of a fashion thing - but that's not saying they aren't good - they are.

Alright looks like I gave false information. Everyone give me negative kudos! Sorry ya'll. When I had an iPod I could only use it with iTunes. What do I know huh?

I myself have an iPod nano, and I couldn't be happier. It gives me all the
music I need with crisp, clear sound. Thus far, I haven't had a problem at all.
Also, if you download songs from something other than iTunes, just drag and
drop into the iTunes library and your good to go.

Hi all.

I've convinced my mum to buy me an mp3 player and im allowed to choose whatever one i want.... I was wondering what you guys thing of Ipods ive been told they are s***e but still so many people have them...

do you guys recommend them... if not which do you recommend?

Get the largest size flash format player, apple, samsung, creative.
hard drive players are not very durable and most die right after the warranty runs out, or until you drop them.

I love my Ipod Nano. You can put any mp3 on them, you just have to use iTunes to transfere them to the ipod. Its really simple to import any mp3 into itunes, not just the ones you download from itunes. I think itunes is one of the easier programs to transfere songs to a player, and it is great for organizing music in general. Ipod nanos are durable as crap too. Ipod Nano Stress Test

You play games, store outlook contacts and notes on them too. (almost a mini PDA)
They hold more then 1000 songs on the 4GB and there is no spinning harddrive like the bigger ipods and zens so less time to load songs and less to break.

On the downside, they do scrath easy, but a simple cheap case solves that problem. There is a wide variety of cases and covers avaiable for them. They come with a cheap sleeve to protect them, but I wouldn't buy one without getting a good case as well.

I have a creative nomad jukebox 60GB, ahnd switched out the internal hard drive for 120GB with flash cache, it's never failed me, and having the flash does help a ton. and about Ipo being so good, i see them crash all the time, and constantly I see LCDs accidentally popped out in pockets

I do not recommend Ipods they are so very crap the size is great but everything else is not that great it basically fraglie. and you cannot put wma and mp3 u have to use a special program called itunes and convert ur mp3 or wma using that program to put in ur ipod.

as for mp3's they are better than a ipod ones i have is a creative and irver. those i do recommend they are great they play wma and mp3. the iriver is like ipods but its a better quality it takes music and data files as well.
