Unrelated, but I believe that all of our senses are essentially "touch"... or "feeling"...

smelling needs particles to smell... the noses "feels" the particles and translates it into smell...
tase needs taste buds... the tongue "feels" particles that it translates into taste...
touch needs something to touch... the fingers "feel" the surface of something that it translate it into touch...
hearing needs something to "hear"... the ear "feels" sound waves that it translates into hearing...
sight needs something to "see'... the eyes "feel" light waves and translate them into sight...

I think what you're getting at something like the "Time" thing - it's a construct of man.
So "math" and all the numbers and stuff is a construct of man.

Even though math is a "construct of man" it's a damn good representation of what's going on. It helps us understand, explain and move forward.

I got the same bug over the "12-20-2012" thing going on. Those are just man-made numbers and have nothing to do with the universe. But there was something - kinda going on with alignments, none-the-less.
