Physics deals with facts and the interpretation of facts. Often in Physics the scientists disagree about how to interpret the facts. For example, in the nineteenth century, astronomers believed that the Earth had formed millions of years ago. Geologists believed the earth had formed billions of years ago. I don't know if I remember the numbers correctly, but the point is that they didn't dispute the facts. They had different interpretations.

Metaphysics does not deal with facts. Everything comes from the imagination. I'm not sure how to know which ideas to accept and not accept. Maybe I should reject one on two contradictory ideas, but which one. Or maybe I accept ideas because they seem useful.

For example, science begins with metaphysical assumptions, like believing that we can repeat events. I don't see how we can prove or disprove that idea. We just accept it because it seems useful.
