I've long been a user of this site through the years. I've came and went, posted and been absent for long periods of time. This site has always afforded me the chance to speak my mind, crazy as it may be. No one ever judges, people disagree but it has always been a safe haven to speak your thoughts. To have decent, reasonable, meaningful conversation regardless if people do not support your hypothesis or ravings. It's a shame people don't see that more and join in the debate. Where else do you find this? Facebook? full of ads, twitter? full of disgruntled people not actually sure what disgruntled them

TFS, the original social media.....Long may it continue.

I mostly agree, though I do confess to having given a few people a serious ration of grief (I would argue deservingly so at least upon occasion. ).

Of course I have sometimes (though rarely) been on the receiving end of some serious grief (also deservingly so ).

Still overall, I agree that it is safe haven to speak one's thoughts...

...unless disagreement from anonymous people is the kind of thing that destroy's one's life.

PS
The smilies here are much better than the emojis on Facebook.

It's done in the best way though with a degree of respect. I remember lots of battles with jonnythan, jmo, pete and other people. In fact I would go so far and say Jonnythan annoyed the f*** out of me at times but at the same time i respected his view, i respected his right to air his view. This site allows that. In fact it has a healthy dose of respect.

You know what else I like?

I like the fact that we can put signatures for posts.

So, for example, for a long time some people seem to think I was trying to force them to believe whatever my opinion was.

In reality I was/am just being adamant about my opinion.

So finally I put my signature to say that you don’t have to agree with me.

Now, if people still think I am trying to force them into agreeing with me, it is their issue not mine.😎

Except, I don’t think they show up on the cell phone feed?

Pero no es mi problema. 😎

TFS is so much more enjoyable than other social media. At least that's what I find. It's also pretty easy to navigate compared to other places and we won't chase people away like some sites tend to do.

Well in fairness, I'm usually asking for it by wearing those slutty outfits.

"Using the wondrous power of TFS, I was successfully able to double my paper clip collection in only a few short weeks. In addition, my foot odour has more than quintupled over the years I've been here, which I can safely attribute to this great website. You'd be a fool not to make 7 easy payments of $49.95 today!!!" *Thumbs up.*

Psycoskunk whipped out his socks... The Eagle puts on a slutty outfit... Erimitus waxed philosophic... Chaski slipped into his blue dress poised for debate while clinging to his trusty bible... DT said something apropo and somehow comically sexual in nature...

What were "you" doing when TFS members joined forces screaming TFS Super Powers Activate! and defended the earth from the evil of other stupid social media sites that are easily influenced by the likes of Alex Jones or the ever evil super villain Soros...?

Sometimes I do not have a clue what some are talking about so in that case I will not post on it!

It hasn't always been that way though. For a very long while over the years I had observed much high school mentality and the 'cliques'. People acting angry over the fact of others having the right to disagree with them; and along with their friends, mocking those who held different opinions in a passive aggressive way. (I dunno, maybe they 'were' young kids in the first place? )
I don't miss seeing any of that though.
This site has been around for a long while I will say, even though it's a near ghost town today. Yet it's still a good place I think, for the most part, and would be a shame to see it go completely under.

We are the solution! Lets make TFS Great again, I'll get some hats made up It has had it's fair share of teenage angst and angry people but then every place does, again I'll refer to twitter. Least it's not awash with adverts and crap like fb newsfeeds lets rejoice in this!

It can, (and has) sadly, for some young people.

Let's hope education and good parenting is better today.
