Yup, me too. There is so much that she just f***ed up, why oh why could the Democrats not elected someone in the primary that had so much baggage.

King was the worst choice of the lot! Like wtf were the Democrats thinking with that guy? Did they just check the first box that sounded vaguely familiar?

Personally I'm a big fan of Alan Webber, I hope he runs again next time around.

Another pickup for the GOP in the Senate: Cory Gardner defeats Democratic Mark Udall in Colorado.

That one really surprised me. Not that Gardner won. 1 of them was bound to win, but that it could be called so early, when it was so close for the majority of the campaign. Really, the thing local news is talking about is the fact the Senate was supposed to take forever to call and the Governor was supposed to easily take a 2nd term, but instead the Senate was easily called and we have to wait until the morning at least before knowing who won Governor.

I know! were they thinking it was his father, just didn't make sense.

I went to school with Howie. He didn't do as well though, unknown to a large part of the state and politically young still.
Webber would have been a better choice in the end than king. grr... king was just awful. Like seriously we handed the election over months ago.

So they're calling this the "Repudiation of Obama", and that seemed to be the way many GOPs were running.

So for the people who bought that - they really weren't voting FOR a candidate's policy or history (except for maybe castrating hogs), but rather AGAINST the current administration.

I suppose I can't blame them, I've been voting Against Pres. candidates for years.

All I gotta say ...
Be careful what you wish for

BTW: I voted For Kasich

So.. I see the minimum wage votes all passed to increase. It looks like now over half the states (like 29) have a higher than federal minimum wage ($7.25)

Maybe in other states, but that didn't seem to be the case in Colorado. Over here people seemed far more concerned with attack ads than Obama. No doubt Obama played a part, but you can't ignore the fact the candidate that ran on "the other guy is bad and you shouldn't vote for him" lost to the candidate running on actual issues. It's the reason the Denver Post gave to backing Gardner, after all. It explains why Gardner won handily and yet Beauprez (the Republican candidate for Governor) barely lost. It's something the local news seemed to notice too.

Totally, but maybe we're saving the good candidates for next time when the repubs don't have anyone good to run. hah.

This has been the case of every election in the off year of a president's second term. Period. End of sentence.

I didn't say that, but quantity's important. Udall ran a few positive ads, but the vast majority of his ads were pointless attack ads. Gardner ran a few pointless attack ads, but the vast majority of his ads were positive.

Well you're being vague, so I have to guess at what you mean.

Nope. You would have come out and answered it knowing that your first effort was found lacking. Thus you dodged yet again.
