So Obama is a pansy because he's not Ahmadinejad or Kim Jong-Il.

I don't understand the logic of declaring that you want the US to follow the example of the "Axis of Evil," but you are free to hold your opinion (even if it's despicable).

Texas is one of several states seriously considering similar legislation to Arizona's and I couldn't be happier.

Unchecked illegal alien usurpers to citizens benefits must be stopped.

Did NOT declare anything, you did.. I said Obama is a pansy and terrorists know it.. BUT, go try to ILLEGALLY enter any other country and see, yup, what happens to you..

Try Mexico, they will escort a gringo azz straight to the nearest jail and hold you until you can buy your way out.. 8)

A friend of mine lives in central Mexico, married to a Mexican lady.. Owns his/her own business [retiree hotel and hospice] and 29 of 35 employees are Mexican.. The local Federals know who he is but still stop and ask him [NOT his wife or employees] on a somewhat regular basis to see his papers proving he is legally there.. After about the 3-4th time of being stopped he asked why they continued to stop him knowing he is legal.. They hauled him to jail and held him 38 hours until his wife could "bail" him out for "questioning their authority".. NO bail hearing, NO court appearance, just hand $2000.00 US cash to the guard.. You can bet he hasn't questioned anything they do again when he is stopped, just gives the "papers" for examination and sits quietly until they give it back.. I'm NOT advocating that happen in the US, just USING it as an example of what other countries do and know they can do..

I know there is something you will try to spin so have at it.. 8)

Oh yes, by unfavorably comparing US immigration policy to that of Iran and North Korea, you didn't actually say that the US should be more like those nations.

I simply inferred it and that's my fault. I'm the one who actually said it.

That doesn't sound like Mexican policy on illegal immigrants, that sounds like Mexican police harassment because of racism against Americans. Kind of like what the bill in Arizona permitted, only the other way around.

You are absolutely advocating that this should happen in the US.

No, he makes a good point.

The Mexican authorities in question are obviously ignoring the actual law to harass people who are there legally.

The Arizona law makes somewhat similar harassment legal in the US.

I know exactly what she said. It doesn't matter if they're legal, if a Mexican doesn't have proof of legal residence on their person and a racist cop pulls them over, they're not going to receive favourable treatment. These kind of laws are going to allow racists to get what they want, and that can't be allowed.

No.

You can still be harassed even if you are legal (or even a citizen), if you are not properly carrying around your papers every time you leave the house.

Papers. You make it sound like you need to carry a filing cabinet with you when you're going out. Just a simple I.D. And even if you don't, don't break another law and you won't be bothered at all.

NO it doesn't, NOT without a legit reason for a stop.. NOT simply because they can.. Fl can hold anyone they want for [I think 48 hrs] for NOTHING.. Legal resident or NOT..

Ron has never been given ANY reason, NOT even while sitting in jail waiting on his wife to come up with $2000.00 US cash without any court, hearing or anything except take the cash and let him out.. Ron said it was the Federals, equal to US Marshalls that stopped and held him...

Told ya, spin it how ya want it.. BUT, heavens don't take it for what happens in many foreign countries to US citizens.. The majority of the world sees Americans a wealthy when traveling/living abroad, prime objects for kidnaps in many countries.. Then ya have the stupid ones who go 'hiking' along a border area with NO CLUE where they actually are and get 'legally kidnapped' by a foreign country.. I can't really feel to bad for that type..

If you cross the North Korean border illegally you get 12 years hard labor.

If you cross the Iranian border illegally you are detained indefinitely.

If you cross the Afghan border illegally, you get shot.

If you cross the Saudi Arabian border illegally you will be jailed.

If you cross the Chinese border illegally you may never be heard from again.

If you cross the Venezuelan border illegally you will be branded a spy and your fate will be sealed.

If you cross the Cuban border illegally you will be thrown into political prison to rot.

If you cross the U.S. Border illegally you get a job, a drivers license, a social security card,
welfare, food stamps, credit cards, subsidized rent or a loan to buy a house, a free education, free health care, a lobbyist in Washington, billions of dollars worth of public documents printed in your language, the right to carry your country's flag while you protest against the very country providing all these things, and against the very people who are paying for all these things ? but not for very much longer.
