I'm only 16, and I went on a crash diet when I was about 13 and lost a significant amount of weight. I looked really good, and I felt good about myself-- I kept the weight off for a couple years, then met a guy who likes to take me out a lot and spoils me. He does things like cook for me too, plus I've always had a sweet tooth.

I'm super busy with work, and I will be starting school soon, so I don't have much time to exercise.

Does anyone have any ideas for good diets for someone who doesn't necessarily have time to work out?

20 minutes of workout a day is enough to lose weight and keep it off. Just
walk instead of taking the car, take the stairs instead of the elevator...

Otherwise, as soon as you wake up, do some exercises that don't take much
time and tone your body. Then take a quick shower and go off to your busy
day!

Of course, slow down on sweets. (Fruits are always better)

Believe me, these tricks work.

Anyway, good luck!

Eat less, excerise more. Its not that hard.

You shouldnt be dieting anyway. You havent fully grown and developed at 16.

Why do people say you haven't fully grown at 16?
I feel pretty grown and i think i'd know my own body well enough.

Anyway.
I did my first jog today & i nearly died but it'll get easier.
Just excerise more.

they mean it in a physical way, dieting impedes your physical growth.

there's always time for exercise, its just getting motivated and getting into a regular pattern.
which can be really tough.

don't diet but cut back a little on the amount you eat.

Samller portions.

When my sis was trying to lose weight for her wedding, she would eat exactly the same as everyone else, but she would plate it up on a smaller plate than everyone elses. That way it looks like you have over filled your plate, but its only a small plate/portion

Right, and that's a great trick.
You'd be surprised how it can fool your system. In combination with taking smaller fork sizes, and chewing slower..
Plus, moderation in all the foods you eat, except for fruits and vegetables, which you can eat till your hearts content. 8)

dont eat fried food, cut out crisps n choccie as snacks, dont eat after 6pm and take at least 10 mins day to excercise. everyone has 10 mins to spare.

another good thing is to replace chips and side things like onion rings etc with boiled tatas n veg

Ding ding ding.

Eat less food, exercise more. Even all the fad diets (at least the ones that work) ultimately boil down to this, albeit in interesting and stupid ways.

Go running, play tennis, do something that gets the heart rate up a few times a week. And eat less food. Try to cut sugar and wheat flour out of your diet because they have tons of calories and make you feel like crap. Whole wheat anything is fine.

hmmm, girls stop growing between the ages 14-18 and guys it was 16-21 from what I learned.. somewhere around there. I know for a fact I won't get any taller and I haven't for years...

but to the original thread, as it has been said, eat smaller portions and excerise more. You don't have to stop eating foods you like just smaller amounts and choose healthier foods, also drink water.

crash diets are crazy, steer clear the weight only comes back and then some!the best way to loose it is to keep a balanced diet with regular excercise.make sure you eat low gi foods, breakfast is essential=half a cup of oats low fat milk honey instead of sugar!plenty of water,no eating late and smaller portions the size of your hand or a tiny bit bigger.im a qualified personal trainer,pm me and i can give you a dietry and excercise program.
