Nightwish, Lacuna Coil or Within Temptation i can't make my mind up between the three.

Actually i'll have to go for Within Temptation because i like Sharons voice the most.

Sirenia aren't too bad either depending on what album you listen to.

Also Girlschool, they paved the way for many of the all female/female fronted bands we see today

Evanessence are more gothic Rock than metal. though they do immediately spring to mind when talking about female fronted bands. Arch Enemy have the more typical "metal" sound. But tbh there are sooooo amny sub genres of metal im sure you could fit evanesence in there somewhere. XD

lol yes. Shes still a woman . Just cus she sounds like a man doesnt mean she is one XD but i kinda get what u mean. Their sound isnt typical of what we expect female fronted metal to sound like. XD But good on her lol
