They're basically supposed to stop your appetite so you won't eat as much. Unfortunately a lot of the ones you see on TV or magazines are all a scam and don't really work. As for side effects, they can lead to high blood pressure, heart palpitations, addiction and so many others.

it bepends on what type she has got..... there is some that are very nasty on your body and makes your body not to want food.

there are others that are ok.... but not brilliant and they make you taste things different.... the ones i did done this.... it was werid.

to be staight with you.... doing some yoga or a walk is better for you....

i would say to you bud to look into them more before she takes more as some are very bad for you.....

None of help you maintain a balanced healthy diet. None of them help you exercise.

None of them are a long term solution in any way. This type of dieting leads you to lose weight and then put it right back on.

The only good way to lose weight and keep it off is super super simple: eat less food and exercise. That's all it takes.

I've tried almost every diet program and diet pill out there over the years and I have to say most of them are no good and only harm your body in one way or the other. I was really overweight and I was desparate, I took a diet pill for a very long time and I lost lots of weight but the downfall was that when I stopped taking it the weight just started to pile back on. Finally I started eating a low fat diet and working out and I found that worked much better for me than dieting. There is no quick fix for weight loss , it takes determination and dedication.

I actually went on Phentermine after I stopped nursing my 3rd child. Needed that little extra help to get the baby fat off.

Well, that medicine gave me SEVERE cotton mouth, felt like a sponge was stuck in my stomach and was just not a great feeling!

So, I turned to Shaun T and his Hip Hop Abs and am ADDICTED to that and that is a MUCH better addiction!

In my opinion the best way to diet is to excersise more and dont eat foods that are high in fat! ALso drink more liquids as it fills your stomach more and makes you feel less hungry!
